We just made it to Dingboche at 14,000 feet, just think not even half way
up. We have 6 more days, 4 more walking days until Base Camp where my
other duffel bag awaits my arrival. It has my heavy gear and some
additional snacks. My bag that stays with me has my trekking gear, snacks,
books, and some additional clothes.
The last 3 days I have had the
stomach bug, nothing a few Imodium could not handle. All is good now and I
feel totally in shape, my legs are not tired, my lungs feel strong, and the team
is really shaping up well.
We will be here another day to rest,
which means a day hike maybe up to 16,000 or so. It is amazing there are
some internet places along the way, run by solar panels, car batteries and
random generators.
Yesterday we had a real treat in Tengboche, the
Ringpoche blessed us with putting a scarf over us, with a few rupees wrapped up
in it of course. We also saw a Monk Prayer session, with them chanting, a
real expereince.
Feelin great, and thanks again for all of your
support. The next town we will be at will be Lobuche in 2
days.

We miss you; all hoping that you are staying well. The cherry blossoms were beautiful here, but I'm guessing not as awesome as what you're seeing.(On the other hand, a lot easier to get to. )
